Can I reclaim credit card charges on closed accounts?
14 October 2009
Providing the credit card account has been live within the
previous six years, you can reclaim charges.
Once a letter of authority has been signed and returned to us,
we will apply for your historic credit card statements. Our
audit team will calculate where charges have taken place and
arrive at a total figure charge to include interest of 8%.
If the issuer fails to agree to pay out we will refer the case to
the Financial Ombudsman Service to make a decision.
