Missold PPI Q&A

Why should I use Challengeyour.com

Of course, you are free to pursue a claim to recover your payment protection insurance payments yourself; however, the process can be very frustrating and requires perseverance. We will deal with all aspects of the claim and make it completely hassle free for you. We have extensive experience in challenging the banks, credit card companies and insurance providers, who can often be difficult and uncooperative.

How long is the process likely to take?

On average we can expect to conclude your claim within 6 to 8 weeks of us receiving proof of your PPI policy from either you or the bank/insurance provider.

What do you claim back on my behalf?

Should we find that you were mis-sold payment protection insurance, we will claim back all of the premiums you have paid since the beginning of the policy plus up to 16% interest.

Below are some examples of what you could have paid on your loan.

Loan TypeLoan AmountPPI Premium% of the total loan
Unsecured personal loan£11,000.00£5,133.0047%
Hire purchase for a car£6,895.00£2,317.0034%
Secured loan£35,000.00£10,150.0029%

How much does your service cost?

We will only invoice you when all your PPI premiums and interest have been agreed and refunded. The fee that will be taken is 25% + VAT (29.375% in total) of the compensation paid back to you.

Can I claim for PPI charges that are more than six years old?

In the case of loans, we are typically able to get back the PPI charges as long as the loan was active within the last six years. For PPI on credit cards you can only reclaim the last six years worth of charges, due to what's called the 'statute of limitations'; and technically the date this starts is when you submit a claim. It is therefore crucial that you send in your mis-sold PPI claim to us immediately

By what other names is PPI known as?

Accident, sickness and unemployment, redundancy and mortgage payment cover are similar types of payment protection insurance sold alongside loans, credit cards or mortgages.

I no longer have the product or service I wish to challenge. Can I still claim?

Even if you have stopped using or have cashed in your PPI policy or closed the account there is a strong possibility we may still be able to help.

Is there a limit to the amount that I can claim?

No, there is no limit. You are allowed to claim back whatever is rightfully yours, no matter how much that is.

How do I know my information is safe with your company?

As a registered member of the Information Commissioners Office (I.C.O.) we take data protection very seriously. Please take a look at our Privacy Policy.
